About the Role

Does being on the founding sales team at a category-creating software company excite you?

This role is the tip of the spear as Ocurate builds out its go-to-market team. You’ll work closely with Ocurate’s founders to sell cutting-edge AI into a green field of accounts across North America.

You’ll be acting as a consultative resource to businesses, helping them identify and solve business challenges through cold outreach.

Job Overview

Responsibilities and Core Skills

  • Generating net-new business in target eCommerce & D2C accounts
  • Partnering with AEs to conduct market research and identify potential clients of Ocurate
  • Creatively prospecting into multiple organizations via cold calling, networking, e-mail, Linkedin, and other tactics
  • Taking a consultative approach to understanding a prospect’s business and the potential for them to drive profitable growth by improving LTV:CAC ratio
  • Going high-and-wide within organizations to understand the full scope of the opportunity (from manager-level to C-suite)

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who’s creative, smart, and ambitious that wants to take something small and help turn it into something big.


  • 1-3 years of experience in cold outbound sales or business development role, targeting MidMarket or Enterprise companies
  • Experience selling technical solutions to marketing or data science teams
  • Experience prospecting into the C-Suite (CEO, CTO, CMO, etc)
  • Meet and exceed daily and weekly activity goals as well as deliver a high quantity of well-qualified sales opportunities
  • Working knowledge of CRM (Salesforce), Excel, GSuite, Slack, and other productivity tools
  • Experience using Sales Acceleration tools (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, etc)
  • Creative and resourceful problem solver who takes ownership and pride in their work
  • Empathetic and collaborative; can listen & communicate across departments
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, especially writing cold prospecting emails and cold calling
  • Experience working trade shows to drive engagement and generate new leads
  • Self-motivated individual who requires some basic guidance but can then delight in taking that guidance and over-delivering
  • Based in the US, native English speaker
