Job Overview

Ocurate is looking to add a senior, PhD-level (or equivalent) Data Scientist with extensive  industry experience to the team. Ideally, you have done applied work in both deep learning and causal inference, and are deeply familiar with programming in pytorch. 

At Ocurate, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the most interesting and extensive datasets in the space, and extend cutting edge machine learning technology. 

Ocurate uses a deep machine learning framework written/programmed in pytorch, and a proprietary auxiliary database to predict customer lifetime value with best-in-class accuracy. In addition, we use serial Randomized Control Trials to help uncover causal relationships between different marketing, product or user experience initiatives to increase predicted LTV, and make recommendations based on these causal relationships.

Your job will be to drive the evolution of our deep learning framework toward a recommendation system, incorporating the experimental data as well as a class of site-specific behavioral data from our customer’s customers

Requirements

  • Fluency in Python and Git, and experience working in the cloud (such as AWS or Google Cloud) 
  • Deep familiarity with Deep Learning, especially Pytorch and use of GPUs
  • Deep familiarity with causal inference and experimentation
  • Inner-motivation and drive to learn and master new technologies and skills
  • Work Authorization is required for this position.
